Reinstall With Recovery DVD Or Recovery Partition

If you have a recovery DVD or partition, it is highly recommended to reinstall your OS with that CD.

The advantage is that you will not have to worry about drivers and vendor applications. All your hardware in the computer will be installed by the recovery DVD. Also bundled applications like a DVD player program or software to write CD’s will be installed by the recovery DVD.

Recently most big brand computers also have the possibility to restore your system from a recovery partition, you will have to press a key during booting to access the menu to start the recovery.
